Set Design - The Last Castle - Kenneth A. Larson

I was brought in to build study models for the Director's use. Since the Director and the models stayed at the studio when the Art Department moved to Tennessee, I moved on to another show. I built two versions of the castle, a set where sight lines were very important. I also built an office interior, a prison cell block, and a working model of a trebuchet. 2000 - 2001
I built several models for The Castle, including:

The castle, version 1. Rooftop model.
The castle, version 2. Whole building.
This office interior set is inside the exterior building set to allow POV shots from inside.
This set contains over 150 cells on four levels. (Credit where it's due, Barry Lehrman helped to build this.)
I never heard of the word "trebuchet" before I read the script, but built two working models my last two days on the show. In the story, the revolting prisoners built a trebuchet (a catapult like device) from found items and attack the office.
